Speech Pathology
Speech pathologists can help both adults and children by working towards improving communication, literacy and swallowing skills.
This may include:
Reducing the impact of language delays/disorders
Improving pronunciation
Reducing the presence of a stutter
Help with reading and writing
Help with auditory memory, auditory processing, and listening skills
Assistance with social skills and social communication (body language, tone of voice etc)
Assistance with fussy feeding, tube feeding/weaning, and swallowing disorders (dysphagia)
Assistance with breast and bottle feeding
Using an alternative method of communication for clients who have difficulty communicating using words (eg iPad, eye gaze or switch technology, visuals etc).
Improving voice disorders
